Service

As disciples of Jesus Christ, we seek to work alongside those in need in our community and world, partnering with people locally, nationally, and internationally to humbly learn, generously share, and prayerfully bring about God's healing compassion and justice. Sometimes this outreach looks like financial donations from our church budget to support local non-profits doing important work in our community. Other times, we’re jumping right in to directly support our partners and neighbors through supply drives and service events around town. 

 

The heart of outreach and service at Newport is building relationships. Whether it’s the daily check-ins with our Safe Parking guests, the continued support of our One Parish One Prisoner partner, or our annual dinner with Bridge Ministries, we care about standing with and for the most vulnerable among us. The grace of God, the love of Christ, and the friendship of the Holy Spirit serve as our guide as we do our best to bring the kin-dom of God here and now, for all people.
