WEEKLY SERVICE MUSIC

Kristen, our music director, programs our weekly service music, consistently striving to expand the genres and eras of music that are programmed. “A little bit of everything” is what we currently try to provide, both in congregational singing and background music. If you want exposure to new music as well as revisiting some recognizable favorites, our weekly music programming is likely to meet your needs!

CHORAL OFFERINGS

Our choir is open to any and all voices! You do not need any previous experience to join us. We rehearse weekly on Thursdays from 7:00 p.m.- 8:30 p.m. and Sundays from 9:15 a.m.- 9:45 p.m Labor Day to Pentecost, with a break in the summer. Each Sunday, our choir performs an anthem together. Kristen loves to get suggestions from the choir on what anthems they would like to see programmed throughout the year.

SPECIAL MUSIC

Newport loves having guest musicians whenever someone wants to play or sing! We are open to any and all instruments as well as a wide variety of song selections. If you have something you would like to share, please contact Kristen at music@newportpres.org to get scheduled! This is a great opportunity for someone who hasn’t performed before or wants to practice performing something: the Newport congregation is a very forgiving audience.
