Youth Groups & Activities

The Mid and Senior High Youth Groups gather as one group on Sunday night. We begin with games at 5:30; eat at 6:15; have music worship at 6:30 and break into separate Mid High and Senior High groups from 6:50-7:30 for Bible study

FEBRUARY – MARCH
YOUTH GROUP
Youth Advisers will always meet at 5:00pm before youth group so we can all get on the same page.
Parents please bring a one time payment of $30 to cover meals for the first part of the year.

Feb. Sunday the 12th.

-Sr. High Summer Dep. Prep. 7:30pm-8:00pm. If you are going on the Sr. High Summer Dep. trip we will begin our planning and preparation this night.

Sound View Leadership Retreat – Grades 9 – College.
- Are you ready to step it up a notch at school, home, or church? What does it mean to be a good Christian leader today? Come to the Leadership Retreat for the answers to these questions and more.
- Arrive 7:30 PM Friday, (no dinner served). Depart 11:00 AM Sunday, (no lunch served).
- Cost: $60, Put your knowledge to use in a Paintball Land-Navigation Scrimmage ($20 extra).

SOUND VIEW CAMP FACILITATOR TRAINING AGES 16 and UP!
| Description: | Facilitator Training March 16-18, 2012 Arrive 7:30pm, no dinner served Depart 4:30pm, no dinner served Cost: $65 Come and learn for the first time, or refresh your skills as a high and low-course facilitator. You will be learning how to dynamically facilitate low-course team-building obstacles and about gear and elements in the high-course. This training is the first step in becoming a paid certified Sound View Facilitator. If you are interested in only high or low course, you should still attend. |

-This trip is available for 9th-12th grade completed.
-Feb. 12th is the deadline for commitments.
-March 25th will be the fundraiser.

Nature of Work: We build affordable passive solar adobe homes in rural Colorado with families in need.
Group Specifications: Eight-20 volunteers with at least three to five leaders.
Additional Information: The San Luis Valley is located in a beautiful mountain valley with great hiking, skiing, rafting and hot springs. We offer community housing, meaningful work, spiritual renewal and the opportunity to explore God’s gracious beauty.
