  1. I’d like to come to the 11am service this coming Sunday. I have 3-year old twin girls (who will be attending the Fishpond in the fall — we are v. excited) — are they the right age for Child care? Do we need to register first? I’m thinking they are too young to be nice and quiet during the service.

    Thanks for your help.

The Child Care during service is normally for kids up to 2 years old, although we seldom draw a solid line anyplace. Most 3 year olds stay in worship service with us, and sometimes leave (during the sermon) for a separate children’s worship. The exception is on communion Sundays, when we like to have all the children stay for the sacraments. Other details are provided on our site: http://www.newportpres.org/newport/index.php/worship-schedule

Be assured, that we all know how tough it is to keep kids quiet during the service, and no one at Newport has ever complained about kids in worship. We’ve all had kids (and grandkids) and know how tough it can be. A positive worship experience for the kids is most important. Hope to see you this Sunday. Welcome.
